Fall Campaign 2023

Thanks to a Challenge Grant provided by the Michael and Susan Hershfield Family Fund, all contributions will be matched up to $25,000. Whether it is $5, $50 or $250, funds will be appreciated and used to help those we serve thrive.

  • Provides candidate recruitment and referral services to one business for one year

  • Provides pre-employment training and six months of job coaching for one working adult

Thank you for your Partnership!

We partner with several organizations to provide these services such as mental health supports from SUSO and Darkness Rising and transportation from WeMovv. These resources help participants overcome barriers to maintaining stability.

StepUp Durham is committed to supporting our participants as whole people, and we know that getting the job is not where their challenge ends. We are honored to be able to walk alongside our participants and their families as they work toward meeting all of their goals.

Over $20,000 invested in mental health services and support with SUSO

Darkness Rising, one of our mental health partners, has provided 74 hours of free counseling to 12 of our system-impacted participants.

This partnership pilot was founded on the understanding that transportation is a vital part of having access to better employment opportunities. WeMovv seeks to be the solution for community members, especially those who've been justice-involved

We want to give special recognition to Michael and Susan Hershfield Family Fund for their financial contributions in support of our StepUp Programs. Your gift allowed us to connect job seekers to new employment opportunities and support them in building their careers.
