Omega Announces Syretta Hill in Juno Leadership Collective
Omega Women’s Leadership Center Launches Yearlong Training for Women Leaders on the Front Lines of Social Change
14 Nonprofit Women Leaders From 6 States Receive Grants to Join the 2018-2019 Juno Leadership Collective
RHINEBECK, NY – The Omega Women’s Leadership Center (OWLC), today announced the formal launch of the Juno Leadership Collective. This year-long immersive training program, beginning October 21, 2018, is designed for women leaders in nonprofit organizations working on issues including equality, justice, sustainability, violence, and economic empowerment. The Juno Leadership Collective brings together all of the lifelong learning resources of Omega Institute to offer an integrated approach to leadership development, personal growth, and social change.
“This program is dedicated to lifting up issues, organizations, and individual leaders. The remarkable women selected to receive grants this year are working to solve some of the most intransigent issues women face today,” said Carla Goldstein, chief external affairs officer at Omega and cofounder of the OWLC. “We are committed to moving the needle on these critical issues by advancing women’s leadership and strengthening the organizations they spearhead.”
OWLC Director Sarah Urech adds: “At the OWLC, we draw on Omega’s 40-year history in adult education to offer an interdisciplinary leadership curriculum supporting women’s personal and professional development throughout the lifespan. Our training is both for aspiring leaders who want to hone skills and deepen self-understanding, as well as for established leaders, who are looking to make a change, give back, and impact the world.”
