Black Public Media 2026 Open Call

Black Public Media has opened its 2026 Open Call for feature-length nonfiction film projects. Up to five projects will receive $20,000 in production funding and an invitation to pitch at BPM’s 2027 PitchBLACK, where one project may receive up to an additional $150,000.

The opportunity is intended for nonfiction projects of 60 minutes or more that are in pre-production, production, or early post-production. BPM is particularly interested in stories exploring critical issues and Black life and perspectives, although submissions on other subjects are welcome.
