  • StepUp Durham is always looking for groups interested in providing healthy meals during our week-long Job Skills Workshop and Step2 dinners on Tuesdays. We typically serve a light breakfast of bagels or muffins, fruit, and coffee. Lunch consists of something that can be made or purchased ahead of time (ex. sandwiches, fresh fruit, salad, casseroles, etc.).

Those interested in providing a meal for StepUp Durham participants are invited to contact Pauline Robinson, Volunteer Coordinator, pauline@stepupdurham.org

  • Planned giving is the process of donating planned gifts. A planned gift is a contribution that is arranged in the present and allocated at a future date. Commonly donated through a will or trust, planned gifts are most often granted once the donor has passed away.

  • You can use a charitable investment account, to support StepUp Durham. It’s a great way to further our mission. When you contribute cash, securities or other assets you are often eligible to take an immediate tax deduction.

  • Designate a direct contribution of retirement assets as part of an estate planning strategy. These donations can be part of retirement assets, including IRAs or 401K’s.

  • Do you have a birthday or anniversary coming up and don’t need typical gifts? What about asking your friends and family to make tax-deductible donations in honor of your special day/event to StepUp Durham? Maybe set up a Facebook or social media fundraiser! We are happy to send you a certificate to present to them!

  • Does your company offer a match? Companies of all shapes and sizes have created matching gift programs to give back to nonprofits and encourage employee philanthropy.
